The first graders did a big Habitat and animal project over the past couple weeks. They were able to present their animals and habitats to special guests on Friday! The students stood by their habitat and guests were able to press the button to hear them speak about their animal! It was an excellent from the teachers and the students did an outstanding job! Having fun while learning is the name of the game!

A huge thank you to First Interstate Bank for coming to school and teaching our students about the value of saving money! We greatly appreciate you coming and sharing your knowledge with our students! They met with 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade yesterday. They will be coming and doing classes with 3rd and 4th next week as well. It's wonderful to have real-world learning taking place thanks to our amazing community!

Today we have had lots of incoming kindergartners come into the elementary and do their screening. They signed their letter of intent to bring their backpack, get a good nights sleep, come with a smile on their face, have a great CUB attitude, and follow the 4B's!
They were so excited to get their picture taken, sign their letter and do their screening! The kindergarten team and interventionists have done a fantastic job welcoming parents, assisting them and providing them with many insights to prepare their child for kindergarten!

The elementary had a real treat this afternoon. The high school show choir River City Groove came and performed their show today! They did a fabulous job and it was great to see the fine arts department on display!

Mr. Purdy had a great assistant principal today! She was a big help and assisted the kindergarten team this morning in setting up for kindergarten roundup. She was lifting tables, coping papers and meeting with teachers!

Weekly Schedule

Mrs. Schwartz's 3rd graders did an amazing job presenting their Declam speeches to the class and their special guests! We are so proud of their hard work and they did an amazing job presenting!

2nd grade had an erupting great time this afternoon with their VOLCANOES!!!

Field Day

Greetings CubNation!
Spring is on backorder again!
Given the forecast for tomorrow, March 31, 2023, we are preparing for a potential Virtual Snow Day. At this point, we are still planning to be in session tomorrow, but would like to prepare should the weather arrive early or we get an ice storm. Tonight, your student will be coming home with the needed materials to complete the work assigned tomorrow. Please refer to the District website, https://www.chamberlain.k12.sd.us/page/virtualsnowday, for details and expectations.
On these Virtual Snow Days, the best way to contact teachers is through email, Schoology, or SeeSaw.
Regards,
